Å ønske = To wish, desire (Uke 37)
The Verb of the Week for Week 37 is å ønske, "to wish, desire". Å ønske seg/meg/deg is "to wish for, to wish to have".
du ønsker = you (sing.) wish (present tense)
du har ønsket = you have wished (present perfect tense)
du ønsket (or ønskte) = you wished (past tense)
du hadde ønsket = you had wished (past perfect)
du vil ønske = you will wish (future)
du vil ha ønsket = you will have wished (future perfect)
du ville ønske = you would wish (present conditional)
du ville ha ønsket = you would have wished (perfect conditional)
Here are some sentences using this verb:
Men du kan ikke ønske deg for tre ønsker til.
But you can't wish for three more wishes.
Jeg ønsker at jeg kunne huske hvor jeg lot nøklene.
I wish I could remember where I left my keys.
