Å gå = To go, to walk (Uke 13)

The Verb of the Week for week 13 is å gå, "to walk", "to go". It is a very common verb and has many idiomatic uses.

Let's conjugate this irregular verb:

hun går = she goes (present tense)
hun har gått = she has gone (present perfect tense)
hun gikk = she went (past tense)
hun hadde gått = she had gone (past perfect)
hun vil gå = she will go (future)
hun vil ha gått = she will have gone (future perfect)
hun ville gå = she would go (present conditional)
hun ville ha gått = she would have gone (perfect conditional)

and try a few sentences:

Uff! jeg tror at jeg har gått tretti kilometer i dag.
Oof! I must have walked twenty miles today.

Du kan kjøre til den siste snuplassen, men du må gå resten av veien til fots.
You can drive up to the last turning, but you must go the rest of the way on foot.

Jeg tror ikke at Magnus går i første klasse allerede!
I can hardly believe that Magnus is in the first grade already!
